Expecting to open August 22, Covid permitting

Hello everyone,

We are expecting to open August 22, 1 to 4 pm. Our exhibition begins with pre-contact and focuses on the homebirth movement in the Santa Cruz Mountains in the 1970s. It is a story about women's work birthing babies, and how a few, passionate humanists influenced the hospitals to be kinder and gentler to birthing mothers. It is also the story of the legalization of midwifery that resulted from the home birth movement. The power of the few to make the world a better place.

We have vetted every piece of information. Our exhibition will be housed for researchers at the UCSF archives after we close January 2022.

Our hours are Thursday 1 to 4pm, Friday 4 to 7pm, Saturday and Sunday 1 to 4 pm
